For a number of years tge 23rd Chief of Clan Macnab, ‘the Macnab’, was chieftain at these Highland Games, situated in the stunning landscape on the shores of Loch Earn. The ganes run a range of traditional heavyweight events and a number of track and field events, plus Highland dancing and piping events. There are also childern’s events, trade stands and food and drink. A great family day out.

At Lochearnhead Highland Games we run the traditional range of heavyweight events in both local and open competitions. Heavy and light hammers, caber tossing, shot-putt, weight over the bar, tug-o-war as well as a number of track and field events, including a gruelling hill race. Lochearnhead Highland Games still holds records for Olympic athletes such as Geoff Capes.

Traditional highland dancing and a range of piping events run throughout the afternoon, often with an opportunity to see world champion competitors in the most picturesque surroundings imaginable. There are also fun events for children and the more adventurous adults.
